Patsy Poulin Named Fellow of the RAIC

Cumulus Architects is pleased to announce Patsy Poulin’s induction to the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada College of Fellows.

Patsy is a distinguished leader, known for her empathetic approach to patient-centred design. She is recognized as an expert innovator across healthcare from planning and design for seniors’ care, long-term care, complex continuing care, mental health, acute inpatient, surgical, advanced diagnostics and treatment as well as urgent and emergency care.  Work for the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health in Toronto, the province-wide Mental Health and Addictions Masterplan for Prince Edward Island, and most recently her work with Safehaven for the Centre of Excellence in Toronto - exemplifies Patsy’s dedication to delivering inviting inclusionary communities.

A generation of architects across Canada has had the chance to call Patsy their mentor. Her knowledge, confidence and patience have been central to nurturing design talent and fostering a sense of purpose among tomorrow’s practitioners and leaders.

“As a collaborator, Patsy marries respect for the expertise of others with her own confidence and knowledge. This makes her a favourite of industry partners and clients as well as likeminded architectural colleagues that share a belief in the power of leveraging team-based design.” - Cumulus Principal and Director Paul Szaszkiewicz

Fellowships are bestowed in recognition of outstanding achievement in design excellence, exceptional scholarly contribution or distinguished service to the profession or the community.
