Job Description:

Cumulus Architects Inc. is located in midtown Toronto. The firm is founded on principles of team based design and integrated project delivery where design intelligence is the result of broad staff, consultant and client engagement. We work across sectors including healthcare, institutional, commercial, residential, master planning and transportation.

We are looking for students enrolled in Architectural programs at a university or college with a range of experience and skills sets. Candidates are curious lateral thinkers, detail oriented, adaptable to changing deadlines / priorities and work well collaboratively. Students are expected to think critically and contribute to the design process and most importantly be interested in creative problem solving.

Proficiency in design and some technical production with an aptitude for visual communication are all highly valued.

Placements available for 4 and 8 months (availability for 8 months is preferred).

Required Skills

Problem solving
Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
Graphic communication skills
Design knowledge
Further practical experience using various software (SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, rendering software)
Team-based collaboration skills

Value Add

Being well versed in Revit is a plus.
Previous architecture work experience is preferred.
Experience with model shop equipment (3D printer, laser cutter).
