The Webster
A historic Yorkville home, reimagined as luxury retail

Cumulus transformed a historic 1884 Yorkville residence into The Webster’s first international location, blending luxury retail with heritage conservation. Wrapped in the brand’s signature pink, the space invites exploration—from a sculpted terrazzo staircase to the domed “Whisper Room”, inspired by Miami sunsets. In each of its iconic stores, the multi-brand luxury retailer aspires to vibrant yet intimate spaces that feel like home. Palm trees stretch toward an oculus skylight, terrazzo flooring blooms in a daisy pattern, and monumental travertine-brass displays complete the design.

The new store addresses the mid-block pedestrian walkway through Yorkville, reinforcing this historic network through the neighbourhood and strengthening Scollard St. as a retail destination. This adaptive reuse project merges past and present, embodying The Webster’s vision of reimagining vintage spaces with local character and bold, modern elegance.

“I appreciate the Webster because it creates a series
of individual little moments and experiences for the
shopper, so they’re going to very different spaces. It
feels like it was designed around the shopping experience.”
