Sudbury Arts Junction

Fostering creativity, learning and regional art access

Reimagining the potential for comprehensive arts programming and community building as a catalyst for inclusionary rejuvenation in historic downtown Sudbury. The Junction will be northern Ontario’s premier meeting and performance space, featuring a performance hall that converts into a ballroom for conference delegates. Elements like the sculpture garden, community quad and indoor/outdoor café offer space for year-round community building.

The integrated site design used collaborative design charrettes involving user groups from the Library, Art Galley and Convention & Performance Centre, as well as other City employees and local Sudbury groups. These charrettes explored site opportunities that create a vibrant downtown core and urban destination.
