Dymon Storage
Strategic design solutions tailored for a mixed-use market leader

Cumulus has worked on 5 separate locations for Dymon’s unique offering to the public storage market. Beyond just warehousing goods, these facilities offer a variety of higher-level services and full-scale retail. Most impressively we have been developing true mixed-use buildings offering Dymon personal storage facilities co-located with residential units, commercial office space, and amenities such as co-working spaces and wine cellaring. The diversity of uses create a synergy of amenities that ultimately delivers innovative mixed-use developments.

“It’s kind of a phenomenon that’s happening right under our noses without much attention paid to it, and without much celebration of how this creative mixing of uses is leading to a more dynamic city. As our cities intensify and prices skyrocket and every square inch is becoming more valuable, people are trying to find creative solutions for how uses can come together.”
– Matti Siemiatycki, U of T School of Cities’ creative mixed-use building initiative leadership team

The zoning by-law amendment for Dymon multi-use development on Dufferin has received City of Toronto Council approval. This first of its kind project is a true evolution of mixed use development. An article in Novae Res Urbis dove into why projects like these are shifting how mixed use is integrated into the built environment.
