CN Tower Observation Deck

Transforming Canada’s iconic destination by unlocking it’s full potential with a focus on inclusivity

Cumulus transformed the CN Tower’s Observation Deck, enhancing accessibility, flexibility, and the visitor experience. Outdated dining, obstructed views, and congested lobbies called for a fresh approach to serve over 2 million annual visitors and 500+ events. The modernization maximizes 360° panoramic views with floor-to-ceiling glass and reflective surfaces. A two-tier glass floor offers thrilling city views and an Instagram-worthy moment.

A new glass floor installed directly above the existing glass floor on the Deck level below, provides a two-tier vertical view toward the city.

Guests now enjoy uninterrupted views of Canada’s largest city, it’s waterfront, and Lake Ontario and the added perk of placing themselves in that view with the reflective ceilings. The enhanced barrier-free, inclusive environment earned the CN Tower Gold Certification  through the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Program for its efforts in making the landmark accessible for all people.

“The payoff was viewing the kids’ faces to see how they enjoy it. The accessibility was really important and I think we have accomplished that.”  CN Tower vice-president and COO Neil Jones

Food and beverage options were redesigned for flexibility and scalability, with three scenic hubs seamlessly integrating hospitality and retail into the Tower’s core. Supported by movable partitions and advanced AV, these hubs create dynamic event spaces for corporate and social gatherings.
