Healthcare Infrastructure for Aging Populations

Lisa Tobin to speak at Think Tank on Designing for Aging Populations
Cumulus Principal Lisa Tobin, will be presenting at the upcoming Healthcare Infrastructure for Aging Populations in Vancouver, BC on June 18, 2025.
This one-day event—held in advance of the Healthcare Infrastructure Conference—brings together policy makers, clinicians, project leaders, and design professionals to explore how long-term care and healthcare environments can better serve seniors and caregivers. With Canada’s aging population growing rapidly, the conversation around future-ready infrastructure is more urgent than ever.
Lisa will be presenting on Canada’s first dedicated Seniors Emergency Medical Centre, the Myrna Daniels Seniors Medicine Centre currently under construction at UHN’s Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto. Her talk will explore how evidence-based design is being applied to address the unique perceptual, physical, and cognitive challenges faced by aging patients in emergency care. By integrating strategies aimed at reducing delirium, preventing falls, and enhancing dignity, patient experience and care outcomes improve.
📍 Catch Lisa’s session at 1:45 p.m. and say hello!
