Student Testimonial: Jerry
I really appreciated the many opportunities to work across different scales and sectors while also further developing my skills in architectural design, model fabrication, and graphic communication. The breadth of experience I was able to engage in during my short time at Cumulus speaks to the wide range of expertise at the office.
While at Cumulus, I assisting with design development on the Halton Region Consolidated Courthouse pursuit, early visualization work on the Hillsborough Mental Health and Addictions Master Plan, and graphic design development for a poster display a Toronto of the Future.
My favorite part of working at Cumulus was the sense of collegiality in the office. I enjoyed the Blue Sky office-wide design discussions, having lunch with colleagues, and working closely with design professionals at all levels—from fellow co-op students to principals.

It was the ideal environment to truly learn and grow. My day-to-day tasks allowed me to expand my knowledge and technical skills tremendously. The access to tutorials and workshops helped me feel more confident in my abilities. I was always encouraged to challenge myself and was offered opportunities to explore all areas of the field and truly comprehend the role of an architect. It gave me a holistic understanding of the profession and now feel immensely prepared for a career in architecture.
Working at Cumulus also allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills through internal and external collaboration. I was part of a project team composed of individuals from various positions – exposing me to many different perspectives and allowed me to gain knowledge from those who’ve been in this position before. I was able to create meaningful relationships and long-lasting connections
