Mark joined Cumulus in 2018 with over 20 years of experience in the conservation, assessment, and design of large-scale heritage projects and the adaptive reuse of existing buildings. As lead of our Heritage & Adaptive Reuse group, he is committed to preserving cultural heritage and promoting sustainability through thoughtful conservation and the creative transformation of existing structures.

Mark believes that careful analysis and assessment can uncover opportunity—supporting a context-sensitive approach to navigating constraints and delivering integrated, well-resolved design solutions. His extensive experience includes the conservation and restoration of some of Toronto’s most iconic landmarks, such as the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant, Whitney Block, Casa Loma, and Osgoode Hall.

As a Principal, Mark is deeply committed to mentorship, guiding our designers and helping to shape the next generation of leaders in support of our firm’s pursuit of design excellence.
