Operation Grow is a project of many programs. Providing support to women in the Midland area, the facility becomes a place for personal development, security and empowerment. With the goal of becoming a self-sustaining facility, vertical farming and associated retail allow for guests to develop knowledge and pride in responsibility while giving back to the community. A shared kitchen and yoga room provide liberating spaces to dissolve food insecurity and enhance sense of self.
Through the work of Huronia Transition Homes, women can be employed with a living wage, increase their knowledge of growing sustainable food sources and develop assets to build economic resiliency. Operation Grow provides a comfortable space for women to build peer relationships, confidence, dignity and autonomy.
